Except when a few years ago we had that 'last minute kit' made by ourselves. It was only suitable for 20 something athletes with a body fat percentage of less that 10%. It had actually coincided with me losing about 2 1/2 stone that summer and I still looked a fat bastard in it even though according to my family i looked like a skeleton in everything else
I have seen a Tweet saying that the effect is because BetDaq the original sponsor pulled out after the shirts were made and the new sponsor is overprinted.
I've just looked on Twitter and can only find Sunderland fans talking about their new sponsor being a printed sticker over Bet Daq. Are you sure we had the exact same thing?
There’s no shirt they could make that would really complement the fuller-figured gentleman, but the recent trend for close fitting synthetic fibres is beginning to look like someone is deliberately taking the p***.
I won’t cos I won’t be wearing it. But as usual I will enjoy watching my fellow old men trying to pull it off.
