Money comes into it I agree, & all players want to play as high up the league as possible, it does come down to do you want to play football or sit on the subs bench.

One of ex-players Jamal Blackman could be coming back playing for Bristol Rovers in a couple of weeks still doing the rounds on loan from Chelsea

It does seem a bit of a waste, you would have thought at least till the end of the season. Also did he come via the new owners

I see Luke O'Nien is out of contract this summer and they seem keen to keep him. What chance we could lure him back?

Surely he'd want to come back if we're a Championship side next season? <whistle>

It sounds as though the Sunderland fans aren't happy with their owner. I remember when we were in that situation and the club morale was low. Just possible that he may not be happy with the atmosphere and, if he sees how happy things are here, you never know. If anyone can get him back Gareth can

It would be great to get hi. Back but he must be on more money than we can afford.

Yes, but if by some chance we got promoted we would have to find money to pay higher wages anyway. Don't know how mind you

I was looking at the same thing looks like Luke is one of the few players they all agree on. A lot will depend on the vote in the EFL to put in a wage cap & also limit the size of squad which I can not see either being a problem for us as we have operated with small squads with Gareth & also our wages compared to some clubs must be well down.
