yeah I'm sure that key first friendly could throw our entire season off if clyne has to play in goal.

Was just wondering how you guys on here will be judging (not sure that’s the right word ) our season this year in terms of what would be a success, what would be a failure I think it’s tricky Obviously with my natural pessimism I do not see a repeat of how we performed last season. Pressure will be on us from media massively from the off. As IBWT (?) has already pointed out elsewhere Sky were claiming a setback after last nights defeat. Everything is going to be judged on last season initially. In CL we can only equal last seasons achievements so realistically we won’t win it. Would a loss in CL final/semi and second in league be successful ? Obviously I would love us to win the league. An FA cup, second in League and CL last 8 - would that be successful ? Very tricky Well unless we win quad then obviously anything less is clearly failure lol
Progress is usually the gauge but not sure that's fair sheer last season. I'd say similar to last season; a title challenge and a cup
Challenge in league and trophy will be s success. Out of cups early not challenging for first and out cups early would be a big disappointment.
Need 100 points. Anything less and we wont win the league. Been to two champions league finals in a row, I would hope we go far again. Sadly the world club will hamper our league cup and fa cup progress imo, which we will dump early.
Sadio Mane's Liverpool return date confirmed Sadio Mane will return to Liverpool after the Community Shield fixture against Manchester City. The forward has started an end-of-season break following Senegal’s run to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, in which they were beaten 1-0 by Algeria. Mane is set to rejoin the Reds on Monday August 5 ahead of the Premier League opener against Norwich City at Anfield, Jürgen Klopp has confirmed. “He is in good shape,” the manager told Liverpoolfc.com. “Obviously they had a celebration in Senegal and I’m happy about that because it showed that they respect the competition and saw the second place as a success, which is nice. “He is now on holiday, not the longest one – he will be back on August 5, after the Manchester City game. That means he had two weeks. There is four or five days to prepare for Norwich, 10 days for Chelsea [in the UEFA Super Cup].” https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/357703-sadio-mane-s-liverpool-return-date-confirmed
Liverpool are set for a fixture pile up as their FIFA Club World Cup dates get confirmed The Reds reached the annual tournament, which will be held in Qatar this year, after winning the Champions League last season but were still waiting for their official invite. They will enter the tournament at the semi-final stage on 18 December with both the final and third place play-off taking place on December 21. At least one of Liverpool's fixtures will be affected by this with a Premier League trip to West Ham scheduled for December 21. Should Liverpool reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, this match would also have to be rearranged as they are due to take place on December 17/18.
Madrid lost 7-3 to atletico in pre season game. Now only pre season but that’s a shocker. Give it 6 months reckon Zidane will be out the door. He’s not a tactical mastermind. Yes he did well but ronaldo Carried that team and even when Zidane came back last year results were no better than they were under previous 2 managers.
