Looks like we won't be starting back until September 12th... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/53530479
I just can't wait to get back to watching in the ground, even if it means wearing a mask initially Can't remember a season in which I've missed so many games
I have enjoyed the comfort of my armchair but keen to get back. Doubt we'll be allowed at start and a few weeks in could see us at the start of spike if there is going to be one.
Agreed - really frustrating for us as fans, and potentially catastrophic for some clubs It'll be interesting to see if the broadcasters show any matches free to air next season too. I refuse to hand over money to Sky but was quite happy to watch the free EPL games on Pick
Couldnt it work In the open air, spread out more by allowing no away supporters and other number limitations if necessary, compulsory mask and plastic visor wearing, entry and leaving queue controls etc. Better than cardboard supporters, and piped crowd effects if it doesnt increase infections, and provides some income surely. Think they are doing something to have a few fans in anyway in Norway, though I've not followed what precisely.
No crowds up here until October at least. Premiership starts tomorrow with no crowds. Championship starts October 17th, and they are hoping crowds will be allowed back in by then. Local club has a capacity of about 10k, but rarely see more than 2000 - 2500 so it should be feasible to remain socially distanced, but it's the queueing and going through turnstiles that will be the danger point - and if the weather is ****, as there's only half of the standing stand covered so everyone will try to get under if it's pissing down.
Don’t think we’ll be back until it either fizzles out or we have a vaccine. I keep seeing concerts being rescheduled for spring next year but I can’t see any of them happening. I went into a petrol garage yesterday (with an M&S) and apart from me none of the other twenty or so people were wearing face masks. People really need to start taking personal responsibility to keep this virus from returning.
Exactly Too many people seem to think that it is someone else's problem and they can do what they like It is irrelevant what others are doing - do the right thing yourself If you see someone else drop litter, is that a green light to do it yourself?? Anyway....back on topic.... I think we will struggle with social distancing at LR because of the cramped gangways, food areas, toilets etc. A one way system would be possible I guess but only with much smaller attendances
Re the turnstiles surely tickets can be bought electronically and you just slap the bar code on a reader when you go in. Vålerenga were doing this about 10 years ago.
Yes, it is all barcode now, but you still have to push through the turnstile - at Mortons ground Cappielow, it's quite an old fashioned style, full body height, so are they going to be wiped down between each fan entering the stadium, or totally removed? Who knows?
Eliminated all the nice tourists cash too Record enquiries about moving here too Not sure how many more American millionaires we can take
