Absolutely makes sense given the current predicament Europe (and the rest of the world) are in. I note that Japan are still saying that the Olympics will still go ahead. Not sure why they haven't delayed it.

I may be wrong but I immediately said the season would be voided and we'd start from scratch in August.

I still believe that's what will happen.

Well, bollocks, I have tickets for matches in Bucharest & Rome, so that's that holiday gone.

I've just managed to cancel the accommodation with full refunds and have just lost 2 x €27 Bologna-Bucharest & 2 x €27 Bucharest-Rome flights, so can't moan too much!

    They won't.

I think we're all beginning to realise that, in the grand scheme of things, sport is basically irrelevant.

To me, and many people, SAFC and football are vital parts of our lives ...

... it's been that way for 50 years of mine.

But, in comparison to the potential deaths of people close to us, it's just a bit of fun.

If the Olympics never happen again it doesn't really matter.

I’m sure all of the world class athletes will be happy to travel to the part of the world that started this **** show.

If those Olympics aren’t delayed I’ll swallow my own knob.

Me Dad always used to say,

'Had on lad or yer'll get a bat in the mouth'.

I always thought it was a traditional Geordie threat ...

... but perhaps he was actually Chinese and offering me a rare delicacy.

I really feel a bit daft now tbh <doh>
