No DAS for Mercedes here. Not sure what that will mean. A lot of unknowns

So was it max or lances fault?
To me 70% max 30% lance. Reason being max wouldn't have made the corner on the line he was taking.

not seen it, so I'm saying Max, but I think we need @Number 1 Jasper to decide as he has an equal bias against both.

I don't know but the track looks very slippy. Perfect for Vettel

Either Merc are sandbagging or red bull are going to be very close. They were only 0.15 sec slower than Merc and Merc were on soft red bull on mediums!

I think Merc focus on the necessary in practise, to win the race. I don't think they even contemplate laying a marker down, just work out how to get the best out of the tyres, optimum downforce etc. They are good enough for the rest to know be scared, be very scared. However, if they are playing with use or don't use DAS, they are confident of winning the championship. If my math is right Lewis probably can settle for third in every race after this and still win the championship, and that assumes he comes second in this race. So, Merc are ready to start testing for next season during the racing for the rest of this year, confident of about this year. Though they can not be complacent.

Hamilton has admitted to struggling to get a handle on the track a bit and it looked like it yesterday.

Having said that I think he was only 0.02 behind Bottas this morning so that does bode for him sticking in his best effort right at the end of quali as he always does.

Well done George for beating Vettel.
I wonder if riccardo lost it due to passing his team mate?
Perez showing up his team mate yet again!

Track seemed to speed up right at the end of Q3. Times tumbled everywhere. Clinical from Hamilton when it matters as usual.

Hammys 97th pole, this guy will set records that will never ever be beaten. nobody on this planet can compete with his style and finesse, he will go on and achieve over 100 GP wins, watch this space. I assure you that I have witnessed all the F1 drivers since the late 60s and this lad from North London sets new standards never to be beaten.
