Leeds: can't see them winning another game, even with Big Sam (far too late for him). Maybe two draws in the last two games at best, so 2pts = 32 (at best, more likely 30)

Forest: They can beat Soton and perhaps Palace on the last day, maybe even nick a draw with Chelsea, potentially 7pts = 37

No point discussing Southampton, too far gone, they'd need to win at least 3 of their games and hope nobody else did anything.

    So
    20th Soton
    19th Leeds
    18th Leicester

    after last night

forest 36 (based on winning v Southampton and one other, perhaps palace.

Everton 35 (based on wolves and Bournemouth wins)

Leicester 34 (based on win and draw)

given we play Leicester at thier place and could gift them points I think it's going to be tighter.

but anything could happen and this weekend imo forest future gets confirmed with a huge 6 pointer.

    looking good now lads.

Forest Still to play: 13 May Chelsea (a), 20 May Arsenal (h), 28 May Crystal Palace (a)

that's tough set to get 3 points out of imo

Everton Still to play: 14 May Manchester City (h), 20 May Wolves (a), 28 May Bournemouth (h)

this lot should be OK if they can get 1 more point than forest. bd will now save them. forget city game its all about wolves and Bournemouth.

    certainly 6 points is possible.

Leicester Still to play: 15 May Liverpool (h), 22 May Newcastle (a), 28 May West Ham (h)

they are 3 points behind forest now. it's basically a disaster for them. realistically if we beat them they have to beat Newcastle and West ham.

leeds Still to play: 13 May Newcastle (h), 21 May West Ham (a), 28 May Tottenham (h)

again they will have to give a last hurrah against Newcastle on Saturday. they have to win 2 from 3.

these types of sides usually make a big show til the first goal goes in at the wrong end ut I'm just hoping Leeds can do us a favour Saturday and give us a target on Monday night.

then Leicester will have to go at Newcastle as well.

in the end folks.... Everton have the easiest games left and the most score to survive but they will be dependant on the promoted clubs being awful next year plus the survivors this season being bad.

Everton likely to scrape to finish bmd and have to sell more players for ffp.

    plus a possible points deduction

Everton are safe. No question now.

For next year, points deduction would depend when charged wouldn't it? Penalty applied the season after it announced. So there's only three or so months for league to get their act together and charge Everton or the penalty won't apply until the season after next.

Who knows, maybe Everton will be decent enough to weather the storm by then.

the prem cannot take years upon years to apply a fine or points deduction for ffp. the financial results are known on a set date. the charges must be applied in a timely fashion and appel period set.

this is the same as f1. they have budget, date for financial records to be finalised, review period and fines/penalties applied and supposed to be applied the following season.

    Everton are now charged.
    man city are charged.

it cannot be that it takes 5 years to apply a small fine.

I have a strange feeling that Leeds can stay up.I think they can get a point from West ham next Sunday and beat Tottenham at Elland Road at the end of the season. Their total point will be 36. Can Everton get 37 or more points?.

Nottm forest ballsed it uo yet again yesterday.

they should have won 2 weeks ago.

    they did win last week

they lost another 2 points against the worst chslea side in 25 years.

forest need points still. they should be now easily safe.

More a question of 'can the three teams below them get the points they need to move above Forest' than 'will Forest get the points they need'

Well there is that but the lead is not that big and their gd is woeful.

if they don't get more points any one win is going to do for them

Teams at the bottom generally struggle to pick up points, that's why they're at the bottom.

I didn't say it was all about the other teams, just that it's more a question of the other teams

    as we stand

    forest played 36, points 34, gd - 31
    everton played 36, points 32, gd - 24
    leeds played 36, points 31, gd - 25
    Leicester played 35, points 30, gd - 15
    relegated Southampton

if Leicester win tomorrow they are out of relegation zone.

I think it's too soon and forest have dropped too many points to feel safe. there's 4 in the bin in last 3 games that they had just right there in front of them and conceded.

if/when Leicester lose then its game on for forest.

even a point means forest are sat there with the very worst gd needung some points.

it's been a good battle bit really only cos there's so many absolutely **** teams that anything could happen.

I'm sat looking at this and thinking

    dropped points at forest
dropped points at home to leeds
    dropped points v everton

thats where 4th went. just pure rubbish results

Its really just gone a bit flat with the slightly better teams picking up a point here and there and the awufl leeds and leicester just falling down the table.

Everton have the games now. they can produce 6 points if they get lucky.
Leeds have a tough couple of games. West ham away and spurs at home.
Leciester have absolutely horrid fixtures and no life about them. newcastle and west ham? not a ****ing chance they win 2.

Forest are these clubs sole hope. Arsenal and Palace. I just don't see them getting much.

west ham are in effect safe. only leicester might catch them and even at that its 2 losses for est ham and two leicester wins to close gd

Leeds wont catch west ham imo. and imo forest wont either. all west sham need is a draw v leeds at home. johb done and focus on the conference.
