so what did any of this prove?

    If anything?

Well, the clubs who sacked latest, possibly did the worst.

Dinosaurs don't make the best impacts on clubs these days.

Hodgson was always into coaching and uefa and all that jazz. he just let palace attackers play.

we ended up with dyche, allardyce and Smith fighting at the bottom which is quite correct.

the wolves lad looks a proper coach who improved his players, they were never in trouble once he got going. a good early move there.

Bournemouth moved early then left a caretaker in charge and it looked bad until he figured out things.

i dunno but it seems to be if you are not 100% sure of your man then get rid but get in the best technical coach you can.

Southampton moved early and out in an awful choice. absolutely awful and it showed.

Not sure. If Dyche stays then I could see him making them fairly comfortable.

He still struggled with Burnley and Everton have no money.

nobody can be a miracle worker.

40 ponts is the target (or even 35) no matter what the pundits waffle about (carragher in particular. total rubbish)

the only thing that will change this is a sale.

But I'm always an optimist... So I will always predict another season of fun.

That's always the target of course. But he got 1.17 PPG from 18 games; over 38 games that would be about 44.5 points, right between Chelsea in 12th on 44 and Palace in 11th on 45. Neither of those ever really looked like getting relegated (Palace addressed the slide before it became a real issue).

Which would be an awesome total for everton. all the pundits talking the ""BIG CLUB" ****e are really just being stupid.

no money, free transfer bargain bucket players like townsend and gray. they shot their laod and then ran out of cash so they won't be doing much more than that level again next year.

If it goes badly (and we are really ojly talking 3 or 4 games here then they are stright back down where they are now.

    The reality of everton today

Pickford - fair chance of a sale. no keeper back up.
Patterson - not fancied really by the big man.
Mylyenko - bang average left full
Mina - gone. out of contract. too injury prone anyway
    Tarkowski - big hoofer.
    Coady - gone
vinarge- option to but but prob cant afford or don't want
Dacoure- 12 months left on deal. saved them this season but lampard had put him out of the squad.
    onana - big hoofer.
    Davies out of contract
iwobi - contract up in 2024
gueye - out of contract 2024
gray - not fancied by dyche
    mcneil- bang average
    DCL- a crock
    maupay - total ****

This squad is really poor, I really don't know what they will get up to with this cos theres players out of contract and going and no way to replace.

Theres no big player to sell either, bar pickshite.

I honestly do not know how dyche can assemble himself a squad to get that 45points without a bit of luck and a lot of frees..
