I considered Lineker, and he was a great goal scorer without question, but he was the master poacher and I am not sure that as an all round footballer he offers anything that the forwards I selected wouldn't give me. Having read the other sqauds Ginola is the one I am most upset that I somehow missed he should be in there, but so should Martin Peters!
Never took you as one to stick to instructions tbh. You've changed since you got that green badge. It's mellowed you. Gone soft. Also hell will freeze over before I drop Jermain Defoe from an all-time greatest squad.
So..... Jennings Thorsvedt Lloris Carr, Walker, Assou-Ekotto, Houghton King, Roberts, Alderweireld, Vertonghen Hoddle, Ardiles, Modric, Gascoigne, Eriksen, Van Der Vaart, Dembele, Waddle Kane, Klinsmann, Allen, Bale Honourable mentions Robinson Perryman Mabbutt Ginola Son iBerbatov Bold would be my first 11
It's a device that does absolutely nothing all day then in one moment of brilliance organises your entire calendar, invests in strong stocks and orders the weekly shop.
My starting XI would be the players I felt/feel the closest affinity to. Those who to my mind really 'got' being Spurs, a quality in desparately rare commodity nowadays... 352 Robinson King Dawson Jan Carr Sandro VDV Anderton Ginola Kane Defoe
Can't wait for @Spurf to drop a squad with Viv Woodward, Tom Morris, Arthur Grimsdell and Jack Kirwan.
Started supporting spurs as a 7 Yr old in 1974 but only really avidly followed every result from 1977 onwards. Keepers Clemence, Lloris, Aleksic Defenders Perryman, Walker, Alderwierald, Vertonghen, Hughton, Ekotto, Gough, Mabbutt, Roberts Midfielders Hoddle, Gascoigne, VDV, Bale, Dembele, Ardiles, Eriksen, Modric, Son Forwards Kane, Lineker, Berbatov, Defoe Roberts and Perryman could play as midfielders while Son and Bale could play as wide players or strikers. I have only picked players I saw play live so no Ginola or Klinsmann!
