Is what we badly need, can anyone on here suggest one ?

The stand out candidate is Will Grigg - I read yesterday that he is available for £850,000 and he has scored 81 goals in 240 lower league games for Brentford, Walsall and Wigan. What's not to like? Aged 26, there is also the potential for a sell on if he is a success at Charlton.

One thing is for certain - the SPL is NOT the place to look. I watch a lot of SPL football for betting purposes, 90% of the teams in that league are English League 2 standard, hence the Irish midget with false teeth going about 200 games unbeaten.

Josh hasn't exactly set the world alight after his move from Kilmarnock, and most of the defenders in the SPL would struggle to beat a mannequin in a sprint.

Will Grigg for me, anyone seen a better lower league striker within budget ?

If it were me I would make an offer for Matt Smith from QPR, hasn't played for them this season and my mate (a QPR ST holder) says he doesn't really fit their style of play.

Everybody knows that we aren't going to buy someone like Will Grigg. He is what we need but RD won't part with the money. We will end up with a Premiership or Championship youngster like, let's just pluck a name out of the air, George Miller.

Has the squirrel asked our Wrexham based scout? He knows a bargain or two we can bring over from abroad.

I keep seeing we have a war chest of 300,000 pounds. Not much given we seemed to have a million in january and most of our signings are free. I can't think of anyone specific but with the money we have we are unlikely to get anyone better tan Magennis/KAG. Basically, we have a millionaire chairman who will not spend. We have actually rebuilt on a sensible basis this summer but as happened in previous years, we have run aground while having no strength in depth, and if our spending cap is 300k, it will probably be another average season. I try to ignore KR when his mouth gets away from his brain, but instead of berating referees and telling us we have our Charleton back afetr one (very good) win, he could try and enlightening Duchatalet about the prospects for the next nine months with the current squad.

He's probably tried, but it seems that Thomas Driesen is the one who has Roland's ear.

No wonder he left Wrexham with the obese Cardiff fan stalking him!

£300,000 won't get you much - it will get you another Magennis-standard striker.

Why can't they spend some of the £11m Lookman fee on new strikers ?

If only normal fans were allowed access to the bullsh1tter Meire to ask those questions,as opposed to Kim-Jong from Wrexham.

If we are going for cheap options we might do worse than sign up 25 year old Jake Jervis, who just bagged a brace against us.
Jervis has been unable to settle anywhere until recently - somewhat like Ben Amos - but he has done OK for the Pilgrims (about 1 goal every 4 apps over the last two seasons).

Admittedly he's not a 20-goal-a-season guy but he scored 13 last season in Plymouth's successful promotion campaign.
Might get him for around £300k, maybe just a bit more if they play hard ball.

Jervis alone won't make enough of a difference to get us promoted, but he'd be better than nothing.
Better than Watt, Novak or Ahearne-Grant too probably.

We need two strikers anyway, without a doubt.

Peter Parsley, Igor, TWWW, Ajose and Big Josh. All the strikers we've signed under Roland unless I've missed any. So if Roland has learned from mistakes he'll be thinking Don't Pay Money For Strikers.
