We start the new season with a clash of the Wanderers and there is going to be a few new faces playing for both sides from last season but while we go into the season full of optimism after a very good last six weeks the Trotters are just thankful to be playing this weekend with their future still hanging in the balance and even if their takeover goes well today there is still a lot of water to pass under the bridge.
Gaz has a wealth of talent to choose from this is possibly the most exciting squad we have ever had and to be honest I don't have a clue what the starting line up will be will he go with experience or youth I expect a mixture of the two.
I will be at the curtain raiser along with Slasher and the boy he is in his thirties but still a boy to me we will be trying out the new beers, new beer tent and maybe the new range of food before making our way to the terrace taking our place and cheering us on to our first win of the season<cheers>

Proud of @wwfcofficial handling Bolton's difficult circumstances with such dignity and class, we really excel at this & I'm sure @OfficialBWFC fans will enjoy their day. Very excited for the new season and to see some of the many positive changes @RCouhig & @petecouhig have made!

I have no idea what the team will be, seems like it might be all out attack.

Will be interesting at 2 PM to see the teamsheets <laugh><laugh> One of the senior pros a striker refused to travel down on the coach so they have even less players to choose from.

Why was'nt the fixture the other way round just got back from Lancshire & drove pass there ground it's bloody massive. A good start, & a difficult one in some ways when you know you are playing against a team that only bought 5 senior pros down & two of them were goalkeepers. Listening to five live on the way down,& they were still on about Bolton having another points reduction.

If we could have scored just one more goal. I think we should change our name to AFC Wycombe Wanderers <laugh>

The BBC sport website has the possession at 39% Wycombe 61% Bolton & we had 25 shots 10 on target, Bolton had 3 shots

We can’t forget the clean sheet. We always have our best season when we have a strong consistent back five. (Although I’m still unsure about alsopp)

It wasn't the best of games Bolton had came to try and get a draw and never even tried to go forward when they had the ball hence 69% of the possession 3 shots none on target the first half was largely forgetful in the second half Bolton were tiring by the second and it was only a mater of time before we scored a nice finish by man of the match Smyth into a empty net after beating the keeper and defender to a ball he always looked second favorite to get to boy he is nippy you would have thought Bolton would open up a bit after that but no it was damage limitation for them and it took us another 25 minutes for a header from Fred to put the go bed Pattison had a good game and should have had a hat trick he will score some goals this season as he seems to goast into the box unnoticed Grimmer looked a good replacement for McCarthy and Wheeler looks useful all in all a good day even Rob Couhig joined us on the terrace for a while and we sang "there's only one Rod Couhig"<cheers>
