You mean all these supporters of the other Championship clubs are waiting in eager anticipation to see how my little dice program will define their fates for next season
I, for one, would relish a dice game to predict our fortunes. Its better than second guessing which Hull City team will turn up on a given day. Although to be fair we have improved a tad under Rosenier.
Well I will be doing the same pre season once the new fixtures are released, so you never know, your future may look bright. This thread was probably the most sustained excitement I had this season when it comes to football
Not long to wait Fixture Release Date – Thursday 22 June 2023, 9am Start Date – Saturday 5 August 2023 (with a likely live game on Friday 4 August) Carabao Cup Round One – w/c 7 August 2023 Carabao Cup Final – Sunday 25 February 2024 EFL Trophy Round One – w/c 4 September 2023 EFL Trophy Final – Sunday 7 April 2024 League One Play-Off Final – Saturday 18 May 2024 League Two Play-Off Final – Sunday 19 May 2024 Championship Play-Off Final – Sunday 26 May 2024
In a moment of total boredom, and as I am trying my best to avoid talking about real life football at the moment, I decided to do a review of all the games predicted here and how they compared to reality. Yes its not going to be the best given how are actual season went, but hey ho, I like numbers and have I mentioned I'm bored So the dice got 15 actual results correct, so approx 40% correct. That's not too bad. Unfortunately I obviously didn't include within the prediction program the fact that we would sack our manager, as up to the Forest away game the predicted number of points was the same as we had achieved. Even after the Arsenal away game, we were only one point behind our predicted total. Unfortunately my dice prediction program didnt take into account that we would totally collapse in our last 9 games, and yes the program predicting 5 wins in the last 6 games did appear to be somewhat unrealistic, but with 6 games to go, we were still only 2 points off the predicted totals, then reality kicked in
