If I'm right it's a term used by the generation after me (and probably you). Probably the next generation's replacement of the term "safe!". I used to hear the youngsters when I started working coming out with "scene!" in the same manner. But I could be wrong. Matth could just be making up his own lingo and hasn't got a fcking clue what or why he's saying it.

‘Scenes’ is what gimps said about 10 years ago, I think it’s sort of meant to mean something like ‘Incredible scenes’.

‘Ceee/Seee’ is what Ronaldo shouted when collecting his ballon D’or a few years back. I think that’s what Matthew thinks is a cool thing to say, it definitely does not make him sound like a demented farm animal.

Patois slang often uses 'seen' or 'zeen' and basically means 'yes' or 'ok'.

    Example
    In Yard -
    'A wan irie likkle place'
    'seen'

    In English -
    'It’s a very nice place.'
'Yes, it is' or 'Ok thanks'

Yeh I think that's the one I was referring to, but I think Tel is also right with "scenes" which is the one Matth is trying to vegitate.

I think kids over here might use it more often nowadays but its certainly not new in patois, its been round for years and years... seen.

I've been hearing it from younger generations for the last 20+ years. Usually rude boys who weren't rooted in patois though tbh as you say. Before that it was "safe" meaning ok as well.

The other patois one before that, commonly heard I can think of is blood clot (cloth) and bumba clot <laugh>
