Hasn’t he just. He’s a steady player as well, and he’s adaptable. He will be a useful player to have around a level up, he will maybe play less minutes but I think there’s a role for him there, certainly from the defensive side the Championship isn’t a giant leap, it’s more going forward where we are going to need upgrades. Most competitive league in the game, we will need pace, but almost the entire defensive line up in the squad is capable of stepping up I think. My god I hope we can keep Sanderson though.
The good thing is that apart from Pompey at home early in the season, we have generally performed well against the better sides. It's been the sides at the bottom we've slipped up against. 4-0 at Lincoln, 4-1 Donny (and only conceded a 93rd minute equaliser at their place too), beat Posh, drew with Hull. We proved at Pompey that when we are really at he races we are unstoppable. If we remain unbeaten in the Hull and Peterborough games, i think we're stick-ons to go up, because we so rarely lose. Hull and Posh do often lose games.
It looks as if it will, as they say, go to the wire. All games are important but against Lincoln, Hull and Peterborough they will be the proverbial 6 pointers!
for those interested in that sort of thing - here's a good article on LJ; https://trainingground.guru/articles/lee-johnson-evolution-of-a-manager
I agree mate. I would start Diamond on Saturday though. He absolutely destroyed Lincoln at their place.
I meant to mention it yesterday but before you zoom in on your avatar, it looks like Steve Bruce in a barcode shirt
