The first question is whether he is a centre forward style striker. If not, then of course he gets a chance to play no 9.
He's a small and tricky winger/forward who has plenty of pace. Think he was at Charlton before he joined Everton?
Was part of englands U20 WC winning team* Had a good season on loan to Wolfsburg & wanted to stay but they couldn't offer Everton enough so went back to Everton where he got occasional game time but like lots of younger players in PL he seemed to stagnate possibly due to lack of gametime .He deffo looked promising when younger but recent form isn't encouraging . *None of that U20 team who won the WC have really cracked it in PL with Calvert-Lewin probably most successful but he was already in Evertons first team squad and getting gametime .
Interesting one. Looks like an improvement on Atsu so gives us a better quality option from the bench, and cover for ASM / Almiron. We do need another striker though to take the pressure off Joelinton and make Carroll more of a bench option. Giroud and Lookman in and I'll be a happy man!
Maybe we are going to do a Man City and play with no strikers - just 3 wingers who all run around all game.
None of our wingers can score either though? Id suggest we line up with 10 defenders and Dubravka - GUARENTEED GOALS Krafth-Lacselles-Fernandez-Dummett Schar-Lejuene-Willems Yedlin-Clark-Manquillo But yeah would be pleased with Lookman coming in but still need a CF as well.
Only because they have to cross it to Joe Linton. If they didn't they would all be on at least 10 each. We may well need a CF but our central midfield has been the weak area ever since Cabaye/Tiote left
No no no, Joelinton would need to be at centre back, as no goals are scored when he's in the box!! Guarenteed clean sheet every game, Dubravka could have a nap with big Joe there, he just has an ability to influence the motion of the ball by being near it, taking the pace out of shots or making them swerve away from the goal. The geomagnetics of the UK must be different to Germany, Austria and Brazil and everywhere else he's played.
He looks good at dribbling and has no end product, so he certainly ticks all the right boxes for us...
Got a good goalscoring record everywhere except Everton where most of his appearances were from the bench
Looks good enough for us ... we lack depth in that area , so like you say id be happy.. Like the look of this other dude ... linked today Dennis
