This is going to be nerve wrecking, Mayo have been very good so far but I think Dublin's best football will be good enough to win by a few. It could be high scoring game.
Truth is, I haven't a clue. Best two teams in the country this year by some way. The joke has always been "Mayo are the dark horses"... I stopped that craic since Horan took over. He's a serious operator. I shall be pulling for Mayo for a few reasons, but I don't know how it is going to go.
A beautiful day in the capitol 22 degrees already and the place looks great with bunting and flags everywhere. My bet for today is both teams to score a goal and Dublin to win @ 3/1.I'm off to cut the grass then shower and out to pub, enjoy. "UP THE DUBS"
Huge intensity in the first half. Not brilliant quality. The Dubs just getting a bit of momentum...maybe not momentum.... A bit of control of the Mayo forwards. Both can improve a lot. I expect them to. Bernard Brogan with a nice flick from a big punt for the Dubs goal. Both have spurned a couple of chances. 1-4 to 0-8 at hT.
Best team won.... Although with Cluxton's "we started in November" comment it is no wonder since there is a training ban.... Seami O'Shea, Boyle and Higgins didn't deserve to lose.
Dubs took their chances and managed the last 10 minutes of the game. The hypocrisy that they only play free flowing football is nonsense for anybody that actually watches the game. I didn't see an over physical Dublin performance and I thought McQuillan actually gave Mayo quite a few soft frees in the first half. Mayo didn't have the balls to break out and express themselves
I don't know if balls is the right word. That kinda questions their bottle. Mayo have had enough of that down through the years. Bottle wasn't their failing this time around.

Last time was Donegal. They lost to a better team who got a run on them. The three times before that was Kerry. Their arse fell out on two of those occasions. The other they just weren't good enough. The time before that was Meath where they ****ed it away and before that was Cork who were the better side. I can't remember further back than that. Whatever about the decisions from the line today, it certainly wasn't bottle that cost them. Dublin are a good side. They beat another good side in a poor enough (but very intense) game. Mayo didn't bottle it last year. They didn't bottle it this year. They just lost.
