Best result a draw, but i would rather face Fleetwood than Oxford if we finished in the play offs at the minute, Ipswich are falling away.
Chelsea picking Everton apart quite easily here. I wouldn't be surprised to see Everton make a lot of signings this summer. They've got half a team that fit really well with Ancelotti's style and half a team that are dreadful.
Seems to be a bit of scrutiny on Pickford at the moment, the commentators harshly suggesting he should have saved Mount's goal. Gilmour is an exciting talent, very mature for his age and full of confidence and intelligence.
I don't think they're very good at analysing a keepers performance at all. He's had no chance for the goals, but conversely, a couple of times where they were praising him for excellent saves, I felt one was straight at him and another he badly pushed it right into danger. 3-0 now, this is dreadful from Everton. I almost think that they'd rather stay out of Europe next season.
Let’s be honest, Pickford has been bang average for a long time now and he shouldn’t be England’s number 1. I don’t think he’ll start at the Euros because Southgate can’t keep picking him on this kind of form. It’s been a season and a half now that he’s underperformed and made way to many errors. Billy Gilmour is going to be world class. He’s an outstanding talent.
If we're talking about club form, Pickford isn't performing well enough to make the squad. I'd suggest Pope, Henderson, Ramsdale, Foster and McCarthy have all had better seasons (half a season for McCarthy), but his England form has been good enough to mean that he will keep the shirt I think, until he makes an error or the Euros is over.
What an expensive and now stupid--looking failure Walcott has been for Everton. A very limited player who is the PL equivalent of Watmore. Can run fast but that's it.
Everton's transfer policy of buying Premier League players has been an utter failure - Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Iwobi, Pickford, Delph and Keane would all fall into the same bracket - £165m spent there. Richarlison and Gueye have been the notable successes.
Interesting start to the Liverpool game. Liverpool starting with a lot of intensity but Atleti are more comfortable under pressure than any other team in the world and they look like a threat on the counter. It's on a knife edge this game.
Great header by Wijnaldum to make it 1-0. It's come at the perfect time, they were starting to get massively wound up by the antics of Atleti.
Atletico starting to look a bit desperate with their defending now. João Felix still looks a threat when he has the ball but they need to be composed. It's only a matter of time before Liverpool score the way they're going. Salah is seeing a lot of the ball in the box at the minute but he's made poor decisions.
