Looking back, some of the players we have had, have taken a lot criticism, and rightly so for maybe not being good enough, so. Which of them would you have back now, in hindsight to get us out of the mess that we are perceived to be in? I would have Ivan Le Beouf Bosingwa Cudiccini Mikel Babayaro Flo (aka The Norwegian Crouch) Feel free to add to this I am bored until the World Cup starts.
Babayaro Kerry Dixon, **** as he was, he'd still make you look better than you are now. Close the thread
I remember a 1-1 draw at OT in 1998/99 season, Babayaro made Gary Neville look a complete mug all game, had him in his back pocket. Babayaro almost won us the game near the end too, with a 30 yard thundrcunt of a strike, but it clipped the post
Yup, and they are the exact positions we need talent in right now. CB, CM and FW Could do with an in prime Cech too Basically we need a new spine. Christensen may cut the mustard at some point, but he aint quite there But Courtois, Bakayoko and Morata aint good enough
Youm all missing the point of the thread. I said players that were criticised. Drogs Lamps et al were/are legends, find a player that was lambasted at the time but would better the team now. Boularouj e.g.
Your logic does not stand up. Close the thread you say, yet it's interesting enough for you to reply.
I quite liked Frank le beef.....but Desailly was pure class.Often wonder how much JT learnt from him.
I quite liked Crespo, he got quite a bit of stick but I'd take him anyday of the week over what we have now!
Always dreamed of having a striker like Hasselbaink in his prime back in the side... ...what I'd do to see him leading the line now!
My dear departed uncle used to rave about Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink being the best player he’d ever seen in a Chelsea shirt.
