How can anyone score against Ben Foster? That implies the ball is in play for longer that four minutes
Is there a "Harry Kane's 10 BEST Spurs goals against Schmeichel at WEMBLEY" vid ?? < asking for a friend >
First to score in an Premier League game at our new stadium First to score in a Champions League game at our new stadium First to score for the ubermensch First to score for the Holy Ghost ...wait a minute, I'm thinking of someone else please log in to view this image
Kane is now 3/5 goals behind equalling Greavsie/Lineker in the England goalscorer rankings. As both are former Spurs players it will be honourable to match/better them.
He’s only 12 behind Rooney so batting injury disaster he’ll likely get the record. Quite possibly in far less games too.
Kane has already scored more goals for England than both Greaves and Lineker whilst being a Spurs player.
It's a travesty that Rooney has more international goals than them. I got the impression that toward the end of his international career (quite a long time actually) that the England team was designed simply to get Rooney goal scoring / appearance records.
I agree that towards the end there was a bit of a circus about the whole thing, and managers just wouldn’t drop him even when it was detrimental to the team, until Southgate came along and phased him out. But he was a phenomenal player (even if we didn’t always see the best of him for England) and there’s no shame in him holding the record. Kane is definitely worthy of taking it off him though and you’d imagine he’ll extend it by some margin too.
If Kane betters it by only one goal and immediately retired, his strike rate, and goals (open play, penalties) in tournament finals stats would be : 1. superior to Rooney 2. better/kindred to those of his real peers (Greavsie, Lineker etc) We have already seen this with his club scoring stats at the point he equalled those of Smithy (in the process reinforcing those of the latter) .
Yeah it’s very impressive. Barring a disaster Kane is nailed on to do it, and if he stays with Spurs is only about 40 off the record of most PL goals for a single club too. Not to mention the overall Shearer record which he’ll keep closing in on.
I think he's the only player that's scored a Conference hat-trick, so far. They don't include the qualifiers and I'm not sure anyone got one in them, anyway.
