It includes England goals and cup matches. He needs 3 to equal Shearers 36 Premier goals or just one per match to beat it.
Obviously the wrong thread for this.. but Heung Min Son has now scored 25 goals in 2017 (22 for Club & 3 for Country).
Welcome btw - and this is exactly the right thread for your comment. Great stats for a player a lot of us were unsure of to begin with. Much loved member of the first team squad now.
This is true. We saw a couple of attempts to inflict one on him yesterday. Although given as fouls no cards were issued for them and they were worse than Dele’s.
Same thing we did after losing Carrick, Berbatov, Keane, Mosaic and Bale...panic Then improve as we unearth an even better talent...simples!
Son will have to step up...like he did last season and the one before when Kane missed 8 or 9 games each time.
http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/harry-kane-forgotten-hat-tricks-241217 I attended the Citeh U21 game (ironically to see whether Townsend was playing maturely enough to be selected for the imminent Tbilisi EL game - how times change eh) .
This is why I only use r/soccerball for video clips https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/7lopnx/messi_54_surpass_cristiano_53_lewandowski_53_and/ By the way, Streamable are having a 'mare today...
The first point's one I wondered about on the match thread. I'd love to see a list of some of the great strikers who never got 8 hat-tricks in their entire career.
Serious question, did you know who held that record before Harry got close and the hacks started quoting it? TBH I didn't and doubt many others did either. Great record to have (and obviously the best striker around atm) but not really a well recognised/lauded one, though maybe it should be.
Oh mate - you expect people to recognise every record that Harry Kane is going to beat?! That's a bit of an ask. All-time Prem scorer etc - I'll know a bit more about it when he breaks that one (Shearer, right?) but who's scored the most hat-tricks in the EPL? I dunno. Who's scored the most goals with their weaker foot? Away from home? Dunno. But there's a bloody good chance it'll be Harry Kane in good time. Don't forget - if this particular record doesn't float your particular boat there's plenty of other fantastic stats earlier in this thread. Go read and enjoy! (I personally like the one about how he scored 20 goals every season 3 seasons in a row and the only other players to have done that are Shearer, Henry and van Nistelrooy etc. Oh - and Harry did it in his first three full seasons. That last bit's good).
