Harry Kane has scored 30 Premier League goals in two campaigns (17/18, 22/23). He has not won the Golden Boot in either of them. He has won it on three other occasions.
Another day, another feat for Harry. Go on the boy! Edit: this tweet was made as Harry hit a brace, he’s now hit a third. So the feat’s even better, lol. Edit part two: He also got two assists in the game.
He's got 7 goals and 3 assists in his first 5 league games. A slight improvement on 34-year-old Eric Chuopo-Moting, who failed at Stoke. Did score today though, to be fair to him. Lewandowski got 41 in the Bundesliga in 20/21 and he did it in only 29 games. Would it really surprise anyone if Kane surpassed that in the 29 that they've got left?
If he stays fit, I can see him bettering it. What’s actually quite funny at the moment though is he isn’t even the top scorer in the league just yet - Guirassy of Stuttgart is, he’s got 10 in 5!
Just a reminder, BILGE howled that he wasn't a clinical finisher when they were in full on huffy mode...
Weirdly enough, this was his first league hat-trick since 2017. It's testament to how good he is that I couldn't believe that stat when I first read it.
Farmers league. If he stays fit then he will get 50 league goals imo. The real test is Champions League, he needs to win that for people to really appreciate how good he is (Spurs fans already know)
Agreed. The problem is, almost every league in Europe is a farmers league now. Serie A is probably the only one that 3 or 4 teams have a genuinely strong chance of winning, and that is only because Juve shot themselves in both feet and hands.
It does seem like he’s in semi-retirement on the Bundesliga. It’s all a bit too easy. He needs to stay sharp for the business end of the CL. It was evident when City beat Bayern last season that it was a big step up for them. Mind you, they were average in the Bundesliga without a recognised centre forward/goalscorer. They were lucky to win it on the last day.
Most seasons people might have said Dortmund bottled the league worse than anyone in European football Not last season, though. I wonder why...?
Scoring from the half way line now because normal goals are too easy, lol. It’s only 7-0 at the moment too. Edit: finished 8-0. He got a hat trick.
Bayern had Kimmich sent off after 4 minutes. Darmstadt decided to outdo them and got two sent off before the break. Kane's now got 12 goals and 6 assists in 9 Bundelsiga matches. That's under Tuchel's ****ty football, too.
