How apt, Amazon Prime for Rover Past His Prime. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Usually Amazon will also refund you if the cash goes out and you wanted to cancel and forgot. I had it set to pay yearly once, completely forgot, lost it when I saw £80 leave my account, and they refunded it straight away online.
Not sure I see a reason for protesting. What was it about? Prime will hopefully destroy Murdoch's stupidly priced Sky broadcasting stranglehold which is good. Televising PL football has little or no impact on PL attendances. The rest of us don't give a **** about the PL. We have real football to watch. Bindippers on tonight. Just saying.
They took £7.99 from my debit card after the first month. They don't tell you which date they are going to do that either.
Don’t get an Alexa. I used to do that, until Alexa told my girlfriend all about everything I’d been buying
Think they’ll dump Silva and new management (whoever it is) will keep em up. Not sure but think them and Arsenal have been in the top tier the longest of anyone
Tuesday was Amazon Prime's biggest ever day for sign-ups in the UK, that record was then beaten on Wednesday.
It is possible to watch four games live today. 1230 1500 1730 2000. Watching Spurs vs Brighton now. (1500 has a choice of matches)
Not really specific to Amazon Prime but, I thought interesting (in a really, wtf is the world coming to way); had Christmas dinner in the pub and were chatting amongst ourselves about what Santa had brought - during the conversation I mentioned blue-tooth ear buds, a little later one of the kids looked at their phone, which was open to the Amazon site and found half the screen contained an ad for ear buds, coincidence? I'm guessing the tech savvy among us would know it wasn't, six other phones with the Amazon app at our table were checked and all six displayed the same half page ad for ear buds! Not only does Amazon dodge paying it's fair share of tax, it ****in' eavesdrops on us! For me, that's some ominous ****.
Me and my daughter experienced the exact same thing. I came into the house carrying a carrier bag with the name 'Invisalign' written on the side. Daughter, with iphone in hand, said 'Oh, I've heard of Invisalign'. Within seconds she got an unsolicited ad on her phone inviting her to have her teeth straightened (that's what Invisalign does btw). Coincidence? I don't think so.
Some of the people I work with were discussing women’s tights in the staffroom (ones with bright colours). One looked on their phone and there was the ad for them.
