This forum used to be quite active. I'm not sure what happened. As a Vikings fan, things are as messed up as usual. Our first round corner pick a year ago has been indicted for assault while we lost three quarterbacks due to COVID-19 and we are apparently the least vaccined NFL team. I'd love to hear saint magic's take on everything.
I love the NFL but find it hard to converse with anyone about the tactics, finer points of the game. I like it but cannot say why. I had lived in the USA for 4 years in Ann Arbor. I have watched a 19 year old colledge student called Tom Brady throw amazing passes in the Big House. It was less than 1/2 mile from where I lived, every Sunday was beer and football with the likes of Marshall Faulk Kurt Warner and the rest of the Rams St Louis franchise that simply attacked, no defence could stop them. Loved them days long passed now. Ice Hockey also got under my skin too Red wings were dominant not so much nowadays though.
Always the promise of better days from the NY Jets front office. 0-2 to start the season and the light at the end of a tunnel looks like a freight train coming to run us over.
Let me sum up NFL tactics and the finer points in a nutshell for you. Referee blows his whistle (I think), and 30 odd geezers start running around in circles, and smashing into each other. Somewhere, a ball is thrown. When everyone is on the deck, it all starts again. At some point, it is 14 down and 10 in the 49ers 22 or something. This is important, apparently. A couple of dozen Britney Spears wannabees shake their pom-poms. Ref blows his whistle. Rinse and repeat…
