Odds dropping on this guy...don't know much about him, but a young guy (37 i think) who managed Inter last season....worth keeping a eye on
Come out of nowhere from 80/1 to 12s worked with de fanti and angeloni at inter? May well be a candidate
I shot a 5er on him at 25/1 last night as has been said was manager at Inter last year and worked with Angeloni and De Fanti will of came across him some tancredipalmeri who mentioned the giaccherini deal before it happened mentioned this bloke to us earlier today as well and if anyone wants to try ask him yourself https://twitter.com/Stramaccioni76 If this is the bloke then he would need an experienced bloke in his backroom staff that knows English football. Ray Wilkins, Terry Venables or David Platt who worked with Mancini at City
I know nothing about him other than he guided inter to their worst finish in 15 seasons. However, I'm all for going down the Swansea, Southampton route of a young international manager who will play attacking football
Inter fan here and a former season ticket holder. I posted on the Zola thread, he was an absolute ****ing disaster. He got the job after guiding Inter to the NextGen series title and initially did great, including masterminding Juve's first ever defeat in their new stadium. But it all soon went wrong with players complaining they weren't worked hard enough and he was accused of being a total pushover (the anti PDC?) and they ended up conceding the most league goals apart from bottom placed Pescara. In the end it was a 9th place finish and no Europe for the first time in decades. This season under a new boss with the same players Inter have won 3 and drawn 1 from 4, conceding only 1 goal. In short, Strama is ****ing terrible.
Just to add to that, the only game Inter haven't won this season was the Derby d'Italia which finished 1-1 and afterwards Conte and Buffon said they couldn't believe the improvement under Mazzarri compared to last season under Strama.
I meant scouring la liga or serie A for a manager. We tried the safe and tested method with Bruce and O'Neill, we have tried the former player route in Keane and PDC. Neither have worked. I would like to see us look outside the box instead of going with the same old "who is out of work ATM method". Suprised no one has mentioned Curbishley yet.
Stick around mate, we will probably be linked with every italian gaffer in the world, your input is appreciated
As I said on the Zola thread, I'd go for Mancini. I can see him being interested, there's no job in Italy for him until the national one after the World Cup.
with the new director of football and the setup of the club would not be surprised if this happens hasn't worked out badly for Southampton and Swansea maybe Mourinho has another recommendation (recommended Southampton go for Pochetino)
