I remember being very happy when we signed him but my enthusiasm didn’t last very long. He was solid enough but for the fee we paid for him at the time you wanted more than that. My abiding memory of his time here was his Michael Jackson dance in celebration of a goal that had been disallowed...

Thinking of him and Michael Turner in defence still sends shivers down my spine. We haven't had a decent CB partnership for years and years.
Kone and Kaboul was the last one we had but it was over before it started.

Terrible signing, the Hammers certainly took us to the cleaners, the George McCartney robbery was even worse.

Was one of those you wanted to be a great player... You were told he could be a great player... But he wasn’t really very good! Still better than what we have available now mind! But, then again, I’m pretty close to getting a start in cd and I’m 45, 5’ 6” and overweight!!

Dreadful player. Clearly thick as **** on the field. Seemingly intent on proving it off the field too.

If he'd have changed his name to Ferdinando he might have had a chance

Thought he came across very well in the documentary about the John Terry abuse. Clearly not the sharpest tool, but seems like a decent enough bloke.
