There is no evidence to suggest it was a hate crime!!!?

She was bullied at school, taunted on the street, insulted on line.

This is a result of the attention, hate and ridicule that transgender ( and others) have to put up with from the press and media. Stirring up hate of people who can be identified as " not in our tribe:"

No the police did not say it wasn't. They did not comment at the time..And that is completely right of them.

However now....on bbc website.

Police investigating the killing of 16-year-old Brianna Ghey have said they are now considering whether it could have been a hate crime..

At this time, there is no evidence to suggest that the circumstances surrounding Brianna’s death are hate related.

And ignore the fact that a kid is murdered for being a goth (Sophie Lancaster), guys are assaulted and murdered for being gay...and now a poor transgender girl is murdered

Why does everything have to have a label and why does anyone care if it does or doesn't. What we should care about is the amount of people continually losing their lives to stabbings and shootings. All we are doing is glorifying crime via the media and social media sites, so with no policing, no education no one giving a **** this will sadly continue to happen. Stop giving a **** about what type of "crime" it is, and start banging on your MPs door to see what the **** they plan to do

 

To be fair Beth, no one is pretending it’s ok.
Nor is it ok for the other young stabbing victims this weekend (2 deaths in London alone). There is a common factor in all of this….and until the sad fact is addressed that young people nowadays seem to think it’s ok to carry a knife and use it…..this sort of thing will go on.

• Homicide returned to pre-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic levels, with 696 victims in the latest year; this is 130 more (a 23% increase) than the year ending March 2021 when government restrictions meant there was less social contact.
• The homicide rate was 11.7 per million population, with the rate for males (16.9 per million population) more than twice that for females (6.6 per million population).
• The homicide rate over the three-year period to the year ending March 2022 was 39.7 per million population for the Black ethnic group, approximately four times higher than for the White ethnic group (8.9 per million population).
• Approximately 4 in 10 homicides were committed using a knife or sharp instrument (282 homicides); a 19% increase compared with the previous year, and the highest annual total since the Homicide Index began in 1946 (similar to the previous high of 281 in the year ending March 2018).
• There were 69 homicides victims aged 13 to 19 years, of these, 51 were killed by a knife or sharp instrument.
• There were 134 domestic homicides in the year ending March 2022, 18 more than the previous year, and a similar number to the average over the last decade (129).
• Males accounted for 72% of homicide victims in the latest year, but 93% of convicted suspects.

 

It's a sad case of a 16 year old losing their life. Whatever the motive, it's another stabbing murder. We must be near epidemic level in the UK.

There are minorities that are more at risk than the average person from prejudiced and violent people. Those minorities include gay and trans. And anything that can be done to protect them should be done.

But that is a different argument to those critical of the aggressive trans lobby that troll and threaten feminists like JKR and demand they should have a right to enter and, accidentally or deliberately, display their male genitals in front of women and girls.

Ultimately Staines most people have lost the will to care any more, they say they do, but actually they don't have the energy to tackle the daily carnage that is thrown at them. You watch interviews with the general public regarding recent strike action, yes some have an acceptance for it, but most don't because most of society has become so apathetic about the country we live in, and what goes on within it. Suddenly what would have previously caused mass uproar there is nothing, literally nothing. If no one gives a **** any more why would we expect some 16yr old who has lived in a careless society consider their actions of stabbing someone. As I said in previous post until we put some serious money into education and policing, and try and create a society that at least tries to care, these terrible events will keep happening. I have deliberately kept my political views out of this post as it needs addressing by all
