I agree with the AllHell lineup, with Cook out & Stephens in, Jacko out left.

I want to be optimistic, but my head is saying we may not get our 1st point until Hull at home. I fear a potential beating today. So the reaper in me says 3-0 Brum. The heart keeps thinking we can snatch a 1-0 win

    Right - I'm off.

The delightful cloud of colourful butterflies that was in my stomach first thing this morning has now turned into a raging herd of stampeding elephants.

I'm sticking with my earlier prediction of a high scoring draw.

Charlton Athletic: Hamer, Wiggins, Morrison, Cort, Solly, Jackson, Hollands, Stephens, Pritchard, Kermrogant, Wright-Phillips.
Charlton subs: Sullivan, Taylor, Wilson, Kerkar, Green, Smith, Cook.
    Looks like 442 then?

The team I expected though not necessarily the one I'd have picked. Interesting that none of the new arrivals is deemed better than what we had. Let's see if last year's group can hack it in the higher league. Waggy not even on the bench. Green makes it. Wonder if that is a significant signal or not. I'm firmly in the Green camp on that one. It's the tried and tested team minus a winger ultra conservative from CP somehow didn't think we'd be playing an expansive go for the throat game at ST Andrews staying up is our aim

We have improved the squad, but we haven't improved the first XI.

In the close season I was optimistic of us winning a top 6 spot, but I was expecting a couple of signings of the standard of Wordsworth and Baldock. Now I think we will stay out of the relegation scrap but not much more, finishing around 16th. Sure beats where we have been for the past three seasons.

None of the new signings have been brought in as instant upgrades. Long term investment & backup, so not surprised or displeased.

    Brum side looks good though

Sounds like a good start according to Twitter feed. Kermit just missed a very good chance and we've had others.

Missing a lot of chances. Should be in front. Hope we don't get bitten in the bum!

Very open game. Lots of chances both ends. I am sure there have been a lot more than shown in the BBC live match stats. Don't they count headers as shots?

According to talk sport we've been playing VERY well, Jackson apparently is involved in everything, we just haven't put one away. Brum haven't been able to get close to goal and just taking long shots, sounds positive, i'd take a 0-0!

Wiggins player of the first half.... problem is that there is still time for Manure to go after Baines then Everton are going to come after Wiggy <cry>

Have we only got 6 subs? Green isn't on the list according to bbc.

Yes. I would be delighted with a point today and a point on Tuesday and hope for a win against Hull although that could well be a draw too.

Funny how CP has started a fashion for incoming managers to have a complete clear-out and rebuild as a path to glory. First Preston and now Parky has signed a dozen or so at Bradford. I suppose it's easier these days with so many players on one-year contracts or on loan in the lower two divisions.
