They'll never stop until nufc wins something and then they'll say its not Newcastle it's Saudi Arabia.

The thing is that we've got to pay the price for success as fans and it's going to be aimed at our morals.

We both know the hypocrisy involved in it, but that's what ammo they've and and they'll use it every chance they can.

The banner wasn't aimed only at Saudi it was aimed at nufc fans and we're going to get that in spades for a while.

I would anticipate we're going to hear chants like you dirty Saudi bastards and I would think that's when it'll be deemed racist.

They don't have the brains to not do it and once a few people get pulled for it things will start getting better..

By all means raise the human rights issues and we perhaps should too, but I'm not taking any personal stuff being aimed at the fans..

It's going to get worse before it gets better.

 

As far as grief from other fans is concerned I could not care less.

If by being involved with us the Saudi's start to improve their approach to human rights then brilliant. I use the word 'improve' with care as it is a subjective view as well as an emotional one. It is also based on my western cultured upbringing. I do not pretend as some critics have that as I am of western culture then I am automatically right and that the Saudi's are as they are not of western culture automatically wrong. Each culture has positives and negatives. However on a number of issues I believe the Saudi's need to change.
The reverse position needs to be considered. Would the Saudi's change if the West had nothing to do with them? I doubt it. Will the Saudi's change due to having contact with us? Hopefully yes. Slowly probably but a hopefully yes is better than a doubt it.
We need to communicate with the Saudi's and explain why we think they should change. We is the West not just NUFC but NUFC can play a small part.
Ultimately talking to each other is the way to get people to change. Not ignoring them. And if this takeover helps in any small way then that will prove all the critics, genuine or not, wrong.

It is just largely western hypocrisy. We are the same with China and Russia. Just because they won't buy into our consumer led world or make a massive effort to try to mask the wrong they do, we decide their way of life it is wrong. Its just ridiculous. There is no bigger set of ****s than those in the western governments and the billionnaires who fund them. They have spent decades destablising the middle east for their own gain. They are just much more cloak and dagger about it.
