I would rather try and explain myself in a civilized and methodical way and hopefully get a point across or something off my chest....on the other hand what's the point **** it join the rabble
Pathetic first half, Arsenal had a game plan and pressed well. We couldn’t get past that because they blocked every avenue out from the back forcing Meslier to go long and we know Meslier’s distribution is poor. Obviously not having Kalvin didn’t help with the reshuffle but it’s also hindered by not having CB’s fit. If he doesn’t put Struijk in for Kalvin it’s an experiment which we also aren’t sure of so it’s a difficult situation, think we just need to get to summer and get a new CM in. Meslier - 3 - Worst game for us, really should’ve done better with the first 3. Defending could’ve been better in front of him but he should be stopping those. Could have done with Kiko’s distribution in last nights game as Meslier isn’t good and when teams play a high pressing game against us it blocks short passing therefore forcing Meslier to go long and more often than not when Meslier goes long it’s an opposition ball or throw so they come straight back at us. Shackleton - 3 - Don’t see anything that suggests he’ll make it. Got a lot of energy and really tries but can’t remember he doing anything at RB or in CM. Ayling - 3 - Tore to shreds and should’ve done better with blocking the first. He’s had he good games at CB but today wasn’t one of them. Cooper - 5 - Thought he had a pretty solid game. Could’ve done a bit better with the first goal but was more Ayling’s side. Was a complete dive for the pen so VAR got something right for once. Alioski - 3 - Not good enough at this level. Not a bad player to have on the bench and has had some good games but he looked lost yesterday. Think it was the 3rd or 4th he was jumping all over the place and got nowhere near. Just not good enough defensively or with the ball against opposition of this standard. Struijk - 5 - Think it’s evident he’s best position is CB but Bielsa has a hard decision when Phillips is out because Struijk has done an okay job there so anything else would just be a guess. Klich looked good there at Villa but isn’t as defensively minded as Struijk or Phillips. Anyone suggesting Shackleton there needs a rethink because he’s far too lightweight for that role. He’d get bullied and never protect the back 4. Happy that he’s got his goal, took it well and will help us with set pieces at both ends. Shame his first goal wasn’t in better circumstances. Raphinha - 6 - Got a good assist and played a good ball to Roberts for our 2nd. But was a bit sloppy in possession and we could’ve done without that today. Dallas - 6 - Keeps it simple and works very hard on and off the ball but no one else was on his wavelength today unfortunately. Klich - 4 - Didn’t notice him and probably deservingly shipped at HT. Harrison - 3 - Same as Klich but should’ve scored, took a shot in a good position and he needs to be working the keeper. Used his left foot when we should’ve hit it with his right, never scoring from that angle with his left. Bamford - 5 - Can’t say he did a lot but didn’t have a lot to work with either which isn’t his fault. Should’ve had a penalty at 4-2 and it’s a different game for the last 10 minutes. Once that wasn’t given it was over for me. Subs: Costa - 5 - Cost us a goal as soon as he came on. After that improved a lot and got a good goal and played some nice stuff. But we can’t have someone that costs us a goal because he’s lazy and not switched on and then gets us a goal back. Need something more than that. Roberts - 6 - Looked very lively and got a good assist. If he plays like that every time he comes on he could have a future here. Huggins - 6 - Didn’t look like a debut and didn’t looked worried/out of his depth which is a good sign. Looked lively and played some good football. Would like to see him at LB to see if he can make it his own or to decide if we can get a new LB and let Alioski go if Huggins is good enough.
5hought we would lose if Philipps not playing , should of kept back 4 same Yes your right , but think lloriente is a lost cause injury prone player and Koch is not far off being injury prone , why can't we sign fit players I think it's the 3rd injury lloriente has had with us and he was injured a load of times at previous club no wonder they off loaded him to us , we need to sell him as soon as he is fit and 1 more injury to Koch and he can hit the road , must be a great feeling getting thousands pounds to sit at home
Arsenal just ball watched against man city , no tackles , arsenal going nowhere arteta been useless so far he won't last long
A shambles. He’s playing players he’s been trying to get rid of all summer (as pointed out to me by my very unhappy gooner son - bad parenting I know).
Arteta is a world class manager. He’s so high on the spectrum that he came out the other side. He’s so good he’s **** now. sadly he won’t be sacked until mid October at the absolute earliest. Won’t be here by Christmas tho.
Just in time for the new man to steady the ship when we play you December. This form can't last surely mate but the bloke looked deflated as **** at the end, the look of a manager who has to win his next game to keep his job. Too early for that but Norwich then Burnley up next, he has to win those or he's out I would think
