Sounds great, good effort & cause. Any chance of getting a link we can make a donation through, if unable to attend in person? Cheers
This will do really well for a worthy cause I think. Our cleaner at work has had five strokes already and she's only 40. Great idea
I will see what we can do re making donations. Some info has come in from the unit but I haven’t had time to go through it yet detailing what equipment will be funded.
A little update. Nathan Doyle, Tony Pennock & John Davies - possibly Steve Moran will also be there Ian Ashbee can’t make it
ASK in Beverley has worked with the OSC several times with raffle prizes etc and it was their suggestion. If this one is a success we will be looking to go to ASK Hull, it’s a bigger restaurant to fill.
Just a quick update, we had a great night and are waiting for the accounts people to get the final figure. On the night we worked out that we hit our target of £1000 and more. We are confident of raising the £1200 asked for by WISHH (Working In Support of Hull Hospitals) to fund the hoist and track once the numbers are in. Justin Whittle, Andy Saville, Dean Windass, Stan McEwan, John Shaw and Tony Pennock, turned out to prepare and serve the meals. John Hawley was the compare for the night. If you would like to make a donation towards the Stroke Unit Hoist, please use the WISHH website, on one of the last sections of the donation process, you can leave a message. Could I ask that you mention Pete Skipper and Black and Amber Event. That way, the funds will go to ward we are supporting. https://wishhcharity.org.uk/ The OSC is fundraising for The Daniel Wilkinson Foundation, The Electric Eels (Powerchair football club), The Alzheimers Society and Hull and East Yorkshire MIND. Hull City supporters have helped us raise around £2000 so far this season for these good causes.
