Am I confident of a win? Nope. Don’t think we’ve ever beaten Emery as opposition manager (2 draws vs PSG in 2016, 1 draw and 1 loss vs Villarreal in 2021).

He’ll be out to prove a point, along with Emi Martinez. Early kick off on a Saturday afternoon when Villa have had a full week to prepare and we’re missing Partey.

We seem destined for more dropped points in this fixture.

I dunno about that - level was much higher again against City, if we play like that we will win by 2-3 goals.

We've scored 1 goal from open play in the last 4 games and the players clearly aren't playing with the same intensity and sharpness as they were compared to January. Some of them are jaded and you can see it in their performances.

If we win, it'll be a huge 3 points, but it shouldn't surprise anyone if we do drop points.

    HT. 2-1.

All our good work that we did in the first 19 games has been undone in the last 3/4 weeks. Another laboured performance littered with minimal chance creation, positional mistakes and players not closing down fast enough because our midfield is so porous.

We are going to struggle to maintain a place in the top-4 the way we are going.

We are lacking so much right now and I don’t see it improving in the second half.

I understand that Nketiah has been scoring goals but he's been ****ing useless the last few games.

Aside from shooting he has very little footballing ability - surely its worth trying Martinelli up top?

Wow. 4-2 winners in the end! Fantastic result and turnaround, just what we needed. <applause>

Much better second half performance and thought it wasn’t gonna be our day when odegaard and Martinelli missed those sitters.

I know Jorginho won’t be credited with that goal, but what an impact he made. He was brilliant today. Fair play to him.

Thank you Emi Martinez for assisting us with that win <ok>

    Sheesh.

Well the good thing about this kinda win is it always seems good for confidence.

When you win these games it gives you belief you can do it again.

Jorginhos passing is great but we miss Partey's ability to cover distance and win the ball.

Interesting fact all the games we've conceded loosing goals this Season Partey was off the pitch (either injured or subbed)

Honestly even at 2-2 I was proud of the players for being able to come back twice and how they played that second half.

but at 3-2? Had tears in my eyes. What a thrilla at the villa.
