How to score points:
Attendance:

• 10 points for an exact attendance prediction.
  
• 5 points for the closest attendance prediction.
  
• 3 points for the 2nd closest attendance prediction.
  
• 1 point for the 3rd closest attendance prediction.

Guess the minute:

• 5 points for the exact goal time prediction.
  
• 3 points for the closest goal time prediction.

I think I may not bother predicting for the next few games, just to give you all a chance

 

It's probably fairer to only allow predictions no later than three days before the game, or at least before the ticket sales and the club's forecasts are in.

 

I see what you are saying but its extremely hard to still predict the attendance even if you know how many tickets we have sold for away games. And where do you check for the clubs forecasts? I never heard of this before! Personally, the only real easy predictions for attendances is if the game is a sell out and even then its difficult.

Also, as a side point, making the threads way in advance to have a cut off day of 3 days before the game puts more pressure on me having to make the threads! For example, if the last game on this thread is a Tuesday night game and we have a game on the Saturday, that means I have to do the results of the Tuesday night game and make the new thread for Saturday and I have to do all that on that Tuesday night just so I can give everybody 'some' time (just 24 hours) to predict for the Saturday on the new thread before the 3 day cut off time. Im not always around to do that and not everyone will be always around make their predictions in that 24 hour time scale available.

So I get what you are saying but to make threads way in advance to have a 3 day cut of period for the game makes it difficult to run and I dont use ticket sales or forecasts to make my predictions. I dont even know where you find forecasts?
