We will of course need to know what extras you have bought? We had carpets, an outside light, an outside tap and towel rails when we bought ours in December last year
Lots of problems with the cussins part of the site. Some of the concrete floors on a few of the houses broke up and in one other the floor dropped 8". No issue with the plastering that Im aware of
Your house must be near the bottom of the site, is that right? I worked as far down as the Cussins show house which I plastered as well. Last time I was over that way I was plastering on the Persimmon site next door to your place, I did a couple of them then they got some crappy contractors in and they really ****ed the site up. The quality of finishing was shocking. there's not many good spreads around these days. Ronnie
No mine is further on in the site. I've just done a lot of work in the earlier houses on the heating systems as the contractors ****ed up massively. They got chased
Yeh I do remember the plumbers we had weren't great at that time. Anyway I didn't want to derail Janey's new home thread. Ronnie
Marguerite is a name I always struggled to spell, was after me Auntie, who got Rita. I always had to ring me dad to ask how to spell it I cried today when I was asked and couldn’t ring him. Excitement, joy, sadness I suppose xx
That post was about things that happened nearly 20 years ago, sorry if I caused confusion. I retired to Spain last year aged 59 cos I'm knackered after working on the sites for 43 years. I'll not be plastering any new houses ever again lol. Miller homes aren't plastered now they will be dry lined, not as good as being plastered but generally less settlement cracks so less snagging for the customer. I hope you love your new home it is a great experience moving into a brand new place with everything so clean and fresh. Ronnie
