After 4-4, another 5-5? We should start with more or less the team that played most of the second half, except for Pearce being suspended. The players have earned that right, and none of them them will be putting up their hands to say "Too tired, boss". Get what we can ahrt of Schwartz and Aneke before replacing them. No need for more tinkering, boss!
can't see why Charlie Barker isn't given more game time? especially if we are going to play a back three
Can we dare to hope for the same line up as the second half against Rochdale, (minus Pearce) and the same style of play? I'm still dreaming of Bowyer learning from his errors.
P That was a bit of a turning point in my support for Nelson. I was at that game and thought Shipperley was our only decent defender, so was shocked to open the paper next day and read Nelson's tirade.
I can only guess at today’s line up I think 4 4 fooking 2 with Amos Matthews Gunter Oshi Maatsen millar Morgan jfc Williams Aneke Schwartz
Whatever and whoever it’s is let’s hope they play with the same spirit as they did in the second half last time out
: Amos; Matthews, Gunter (C), Oshilaja, Maatsen; Williams, Morgan, Forster-Caskey, Millar; Aneke, Washington Substitutes: Maynard-Brewer, Purrington, Barker, Gilbey, Smyth, Bogle, Schwartz Good team, glad to see Aneke and Williams starting.
Post from Shady tree on the other forum. Gilbey seems to have gone public on a rift with Lee Bowyer, through a couple of Tweets last night from his ex team mate Sanchez Watt. “Can’t motivate the players” which explains why “they won’t run for him”. The Tweets have been deleted this morning.
Would Gilbey care to tweet about why he's been crap all this season so far? I suppose that's Bowyer's fault too. How many games in our run of 6 straight wins did Gilbey feature in? None. He was injured the whole time. Gilbey has started 9 games this season - we only won 2 of those.
