Fraser dropped/rested for Kilkenny the only change. Any points welcome, no matter how we get them. I'd take another 0-0.
I'm going to take a guess and say that first half was not an absolute thriller. But 0-0 is OK if we aren't going to score any more goals this season. Bonne was born poor.
Well if we can't score, a point was the most we were ever going to get. But our defence, for all their efforts, are not good enough to keep out decent teams week in-week out. We'll manage it sometimes. But not today. Plymouth are going up
At least we attacked a bit second half before they caught us on the break. We don't have anyone who can play the difficult role of lone striker, something has to change. I don't know what Kilkenny offers that Morgan or Henry doesn't. Holden faces a real test of his acumen to get us some points to make us absolutely safe.
It's presumably a good thing that we won't be playing top 6 teams every week. Having said that, our record against teams in the bottom half is frankly awful. We need 8 or 9 more points really. Fingers crossed...
I'm at a Spanish non league game today - the club ran a free bus as its top v 2nd, and my local team are second. I caught the Charlton game on the mobile. We looked the same as ever this season. Bang average on a good day.
1-1. Calella scored in the 88th minute and we went wild thinking that was game over. But the other lot are leaders for a reason and they nicked a very late equaliser. To be honest, it could have gone either way, but I find myself comiserating with Ipswich a little. These late equalisers are horrible when it's the opposition who get to celebrate them . Still, good fun on the team bus going back!
