Swansea City fans allowed back in to the Liberty stadium for the play offs It has been announced this morning that Swansea City fans will be allowed in to the Liberty stadium on Saturday May 22nd to watch their side take on Barnsley. Three thousand swans fans will be allowed in to the ground for the evening kick off. The first leg goes ahead on Monday 17th May In Yorkshire. This will be the first time Swansea City fans have been allowed back in to the Liberty for fourteen months. First Minister of Wales, Mark Drakeford, said: “It’s been a long and difficult 18 months for the events industry in Wales – for event owners, those who depend on the sector for the work - and for those who long to see the return of live events to Wales. As we look at lifting the coronavirus restrictions in Wales we have worked closely with event organisers to establish a list of pilot test events which take in a range of different locations and types of event. This work is bringing us a step closer to a return to events in Wales, I’d like to thank these event owners and Local Authorities and Health Boards for their commitment in working with us and wish them well over the summer. These events are very different in nature and location but access of attendees – whether participants or spectators – is strictly controlled by the organisers and agreed in advance” Swansea City are yet to make an announcement on how fans will be selected to attend the game,
Only those fans who have posted nice things about Steve Cooper on football forums will be allowed in.
I won’t be there either.....truth be told you will need to provide a negative test pre match probably have a temperature test on the way in queue for ages and get told where to sit possibly by supporters who will want to do what they want....no front of the tv for me where I can shout at Coops to my hearts content
First of all the people at bye club will give tickets to their own. So by the time the players, coaches, kitman, office staff, shop staff, ticket office staff, groundsman etc etc get their quota there will e fcuk all left for the ordinary fans. sorry to be a killjoy and @TheRealBubbles is a FTT
3.500 doesn’t go into 3.000 so someone’s going to be disappointe.3.500;is the number that’s rumoured to have not requested a refund and paid for next season tickets .
Don’t forget that the Sponsors will have an allocation, as will the players, staff, Council, Ospreys etc - I’m not sure if hospitality will be available to Box owners/holders. As such, I wouldn’t be surprised that there will only be 1,500 - 2,000 tickets available via the ballot. So a 1 in 2 chance?
