Simply not good enough he’s had plenty of chances to shine and when it mattered he has been found wanting....if we’re to challenge the top four we need a better partner for Kante.
Today Bakayoko showed some glimpses of good play mixed with some poor passing and positioning. Much improved on earlier games but still a long way below requirements.I will give him the benefit of the doubt as Fabregas nearing the end, is a bit too slow now, and Baka Kante and Fabregas are a poor mixture. Maybe Baka will improve with more dynamic player beside him. Maybe not. However, he is 2 seasons behind RLC, not in the same class as Morgan Mount and not as good as Ampadu. That's just for starters. An expensive exercise for our Club and its' football style.
Rambo was way worse when he joined us. Granted he was playing with Mikel and not Essien. Ofcourse expectation will be higher for Baka when he is paired with Kante. But Cescy in there doesn't help anyone let alone Baka. Give this kid a chance. He could be better next season. Obviously his confidence looks shot, just like Morata's. Thanks to Tony.
I have no idea why you keep ****ing over Bakayoko when his performances have ranged from "Meh" to "WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING??!" all season. I have seen players turn up at clubs and be very unremarkable and then improve drastically in their second season, so for that reason alone, and because we paid £35m for the guy, I would be okay with us keeping him for one more season, just to see how he pans out, but only if he is not starting games, because we definitely need to sign a CM who is actually effective in the summer. Really not sure how Conte has "Shot" Bakayoko's confidence either? How? By giving him chance after chance even when he has been giving **** performances?

So why just those two then? If he has set the team up for failure, then why have kante, rudiger, willian, hazard, alonso, azpi and Giroud still been playing decent?
