So which airport will he bump into Salah at? Heathrow or Barajas?

On that evidence he needs a haircut before he even boards the plane. The man looks like he should be competing in the dressage.

Will be 29 at the start of next season. Should be at his peak, but that means a big fee and wages and no real re-sale fee in 3 years time.
Big, big wages as all the money clubs would take him at the right fee.
That's as far removed from Levy's business model as you can get isn't it?

A daft hairdo is a sign of being an elite player.
It's the same in many sports- Warne, Pietersen, Nadal etc.

The fee's easy to get around. We'll just value N'Koudou at £408m and tell Los Ladrones we're willing to do a straight swap if they cover 80% of Bale's wages for the remainder of his contract.

I love that Gareth Bale is so in love with playing for Wales. Football's not all about winning, especially at international level, for most and particularly, those great players who toil to improve their limited nations, often without ever getting to a major tournament or getting out of the group stages. He could 'pull a Giggsy' and **** Wales off to extend his time at the trough. That he doesn't, says much about the man.

That said, at this point in his career and our development, I'd choose a double signing of Ryan Sessegnon and de Ligt ahead of him, in a heartbeat.

Hey I'm just dreaming. Isn't that what supporting a football team is all about?

We are not going to attract a better calibre of ''winner" than Bale. We are not buying any player at his pomp, not until we become winners ourselves. However the mentality of a winner is priceless. Bale is a thoroughbred..how many times have Poch's young guns been crying out for a winner to lift them and help them cross the line?

Bale has played CL finals, scored winners in finals, gone toe to toe with the Barca's..you think he gives a **** about places like Stamford Bridge or going to sleep against Juventus? He's played at higher levels than that. He was pivotal in guiding the Welsh team to the semi finals.

Would love Bale at our club to help us move up another level. All practicalities considered of course

I wouldn't want anyone to be earning more than the likes of Kane, Eriksen and Son...they have earned the right to be top earners. This is why I said all practicalities considered. Just based on his footballing pedigree, I think he is just what we need, we can't do better.

Yes...I think so too...his skill set is more essential to us. Plus got the same winning pedigree as Bale.

Already said in the past that after the way both left I wouldn’t really want either back but if I had the choice of choosing one, I too would take Modric.

It’s weird to say but we don’t actually need Bale. We have enough attacking midfield match-winners in the likes of Son, Alli and Eriksen - who also work brilliantly as a team, Bale is more of a lone superstar. What we do lack though is someone to control the game, especially when Dembele is injured or out of form.

Modric to this day remains the best midfielder I’ve seen at Spurs and even at his age, he could still improve our side massively.

    Me too.

He’s is game changer. And we don’t really have one of those.

But I still don’t believe it will ever happen, unless in the highly unlikely event he places past loyalties above money.
