Just thinkin'... The Falklands wasn't much better. The powers that be, ordered two loaded troop carrying ships to remain without air-cover or any other protection, in the middle of an exposed bay. Argentine bombers had an unhindered daylight raid and it was like shooting fish in a barrel.
Whilst I wouldn't say the British Empire was altogether in every sense a good thing, it's still a little tragic how we've gone from top nation of international @rse kickers to a bunch of quivering pussies in less than a century.
That's interesting. I wonder why my MA in English Literature - hugely useful as it is - failed to include military history. Lousy Uni's not teaching everybody everything.
Arts degrees are for people who like to say they're at Uni, but aren't clever enough to do a real degree. I'm unempplyed. All I do all day is **** and eat Wotsits.
I've not got a degree, but I've taught a few people with degrees how to actually make stuff. The trouble with Graduates is, they think they know it all as soon as they get their degree, someone should tell them that it's just the start of their education.
so that means we shouldn't take you seriously telling us not to take tarquin seriously so we should in fact take tarquin seriously?
****. That's like a seven year course or something, isn't it? Good for you. Abject poverty and then *boof* suddenly you're a ****ing millionaire.
aye 7 years, doing it part time too so it takes longer. i work with an architect just now and study a day and 2 nights at uni. <notworththeeffort> also there is **** all money in architecture just now so it will likely remain abject poverty for the foreseeable future.
