I know what I'd like to see....
    Guzan
    Rosenior Chester Gerrard Daws
    Ash
    Stewart Koren Belaid
    McLean Fryatt

but we're more likely to see

    Guzan
    Rosenior Chester Gerrard Daws
    Ash Harper
    Koren Stewart
    McLean Fryatt

I think Stewart is better playing up front, him and Fryatt\Simpson should work really well, with McLean coming on for Stewart as the grafter.

I love us to start with that team, but Harper is the new Garcia, he seems to be the first on the team sheet, so I assume he'll be in again.

Anyone know if Belaid is good at pointing, that might just be enough to swing it? :emoticon-0116-evilg

Agreed. The last few weeks he's been poor out on the wing. IMO he's looked lightweight and a bit of a one trick pony. He still looked dangerous in the final third, he just needs to realise you cant play the way he does all over the pitch. For me McLean starts with Stewart to replace him when the defence get tired!!

I agree with prideofyorkshire's team, although as he has mentioned himself, I'd have Stewart up front and McLean on the wing. Hopefully, if Simpson is given another chance he'll take it and start scoring on a more regular basis. Even if he only comes on as sub on Saturday, just to give him some first 11 game time would be good.

Asides from the Harper/Ash situation, this season i've never been overly dissapointed with the team selection, which is a change! It's so good to finally have a number of options aswell. 4-3-3 would be a nice idea with stewart mclean and fryatt, but too risky aganst qpr i think. Who would you rather then, Harper or Ash? Not been able to get to a game since the Scunny match (where i thought Harper looked decent asides from missing a sitter...) so have been hearing a mixed bag of reviews about them both.

i think harper played well against reading, deserves to keep his place, belaid says he plays right mid for the national team but that hes best in the centre, we seem to insist on playing central players on the wings and barely cross unless the full backs get forward.

I'd have Ash in but to be fair, Harper was solid against Reading so it's a tough choice if we were to only play one defensive midfielder.

    ------------------ Guzan ---------------
    Rosenior - Chester - Gerrard - Dawson
    Belaid - Koren - Ashbee - Stewart
    --------- Fryatt - Simpson ----------

Does anyone know who's option it is to extend Belaid's contract by 2 years?

Great news glad to see more players coming in, Now if we could get a replacement left back and cover in the central defence we would have a competitive squad.

Lets hope that we actually get to see him play then. Looking forward to Saturday now (actually I was anyway, but that is not the point!).

Hard to get excited about a player you've never heard of, "Tunisia international" doesn't exactly get my juices flowing neither does AP's Duffen-esque misleading quote of "former Inter Milan" player.

I'll try to be positive but the whole situation screams "Kamel Ghilas".
