Means loads to a lot of folk for a lot of reasons mate. Respect. I wasn’t born in the region. But my family were all County Durham and NCL. I’ve lived in the NE most of my life now and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else on earth. I’ve planted the roots back down firmly where they belong.

Me too mate...listened to it a lot when I lived in oz, always brought a smile to my face. Not sure about McElderry like. Whenever I hear this song it always makes me wanna dig that episode of Auf Weidersehn out when Oz sings in that bar when they’re doing Thornley Manor out....class!
Listening to Christopher Fairbank doing an interview last night and he is so posh and southern. Moxey just wouldn’t have been the same character with a home counties accent like.
Aye, he’s proper well spoken like. First time I heard him talk I was as shocked as I was the first time I heard Pat Butcher talk in real life
