Stranger things have happened in football. For example Arsenal continuing to play a rapist, while Dembele received a six match ban for poking someone in the eye.
Really feel for @BrunelGunner ... his posts on here have been spot on and I genuinely feel his stress...don't wanna even imagine us behaving so immorally. Premier league football has no soul
When they shrugged at The Sheikh Mansour Team turning an eye to Benjamin Bundy Mendy, that's when the Premier League passed the moral event horizon
Watching the All or Nothing Juventus on Prime Strong interest for Spurs fans with Paratachi Kulusevski and Bentacur all featured
Kane and Doherty at Lords tonight for the Hundred , Kane on the pitch swinging the bat like Capt Caveman trying to hit the ball out of the ground , if HK turns up for training tomorrow with a side strain Conte will do him big time
RIP Raymond Briggs, author/illustrator of The Snowman (also the incredible When the Wind Blows, Fungus the Bogeyman and many others). A man of huge talent, compassion and conviction.
Back to the World Cup that nobody voted for (even those bribed to vote, since nobody voted for a winter world cup). Not only do we get a world cup built on the blood of migrant workers, we also get a world cup that splits the season. Now in principle that is bad enough, considering that we are splitting the season for a corrupt tournament built on blood. But there's another consideration, which I hope in the long run isn't a consideration. That is the idea that the WC favours the players that are not competing in it. Purely and simply it means that by the time the PL resumes, some players will have played more games than those that don't go. Perhaps it won't be noticeable at first, hopefully it will not be noticeable at all, but will it make a difference toward the end of the season? The effect will be worse for those that go far in the WC. But who won't be going to the WC and be getting a rest half way through the season? A couple worth mentioning: Salah and Haaland.
While I don't actually support Qatar having been given the World Cup because of its human rights record, I don't agree with most of your points. Football is a world wide winter sport. Its major championship ought to be played in the winter season in the chosen venue. There is absolutely nothing wrong with using migrant workers provided they are treated properly. Most of the Qatari workers come from south Asia. They are almost certainly better paid and better treated working in Qatar than working at home.
Desperately hoping that Salman Rushdie survives the cowardly knife attack on him today in New York State. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-62524833 Tory MP's like Dorries and Sunak lining up to parrot platitudes about free speech are disgusting, vile, mendacious creatures.
Lloris a nominee for the Yacine Trophy (best performing keeper in Europe) I think Courtois will walk it to be honest but great to see Hugo a contender. 35 and just had one of his best seasons for Spurs, doesn’t seem to be slowing up just yet either.
