Facebook showing that many of our local pubs and bars were teeming with people last night as they wanted one last night in the pub.

Coronavirus will prove to be a plague on the ****wits and self entitled.

Need some advice: I've had an email from: change.org saying Confirm your email address to add your signature to :Rescue Americans Stranded In Peru.....
Thats as far as I've got as I've not opened it just in case! Twice I have picked up a virus (topical) innocently and I do not want the hassle again! Haven't got the know how to do it myself <doh>. So have those that signed for Brian had the same & is it ok to go ahead. Cheers.

I think if it is the first time you've signed a Change.org petition that will happen. They need to make sure you are a real person. I didn't get one but I have signed a few already.

For those seeking escape from the dearth of TV right now,
C4 have a long documentary on tonight at 9PM about Maradona.

Yeah it’s fine, Maggie. It’s basically confirming that the email you used in the petition is indeed yours, it just ensures that no one else entered your email to try and gain extra signatures. Open the email and you’ll see a link that says “confirm your email”, click that and then a webpage will open, you can immediately close the webpage though because once you’ve clicked that link it automatically verifies your email to the petition. You’ll probably then get another email afterwards saying something like “Joe Bloggs still needs your help” and that’s just asking if you’d like to donate to the cause or share it on your social media platforms but all that is completely optional and you can take no notice if you choose.

I've used change.org before, so I didn't get that e-mail but did get one asking me to sign other petitions, which included an option to have no futher e-mail contact from the site. I clicked on that and have had no further contact since.

It's a pretty safe site but if you have any concerns, just delete the e-mail.

    Cheers.

    Brian

    Excellent documentary,
Sadly, it also shows in hindsight the fate that awaited Gazza. :(

Just to let you know that overnight, Mrs B's mate Alice, her hubby (whose 60th birthday present the trip was for) and her 2 kids, were on a flight out of Peru to Florida and they are now in isolation for 14 days in Miami.

Thanks again to everyone for helping.

They would've been flown back sooner, but Dominic Raab thought that Lima was in the Philippines...
