Knowing about how to avoid getting it could save lives though and personally I don’t think a lot of people are taking this seriously enough.
Allow me to demonstrate what I'm talking about At least three times last week I've been out of the house as I'm putting out the bins/recycling and I've had one of my neighbours sidle up and say "Did you hear that there's X many cases/deaths in country Y today?" This is not talking about how to avoid getting it, this is idle gossip that makes for a ****ing boring conversation
I just think people are worried about it and that’s why it’s dominating every conversation at the moment.
There's a chapter in World War Z (available in all countries...except China) that touches on this phenomenon: in the book one survivor from Japan recounts how he and the various people on the message board they used basically turned the zombie outbreak into a game of one-upmanship where they wanted to get the kudos of posting the juiciest piece of information for that day, or to put it another way they were what Reddit users call karma whoring And that's the thing: they're not doing it because they're worried, they're doing it for attention
I can accept the likes of McDonald's, Nando's,Costa and subway closing but for the love of God why Gregg's, where am I going to get my greasy fix

You can't do their beautiful sausage rolls in a frying pan or their lovely cream doughnuts either! I'm with you Alfie, I Iove Greggs but don't go there to often as nearest one over 20 miles away. Just as well now we are not allowed to go out at all!
