    Match Preview;
    Moving on from another cup disappointment, Tuesday night we travel up north to Blackburn, knowing that a win would move us ahead of them in the table. They have only won one of their last five, albeit a thumping 5-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday, who then knocked us out of the cup on Friday night. Ignoring the cup, we go into this after a good win against high flying Leeds. Here's hoping the cup game was a little blip, and we can get back to winning ways in the league on Tuesday.

    Team news
    QPR: Yoann Barbet (hamstring), Charlie Owens (knee).

    Blackburn: Bradley Johnson (illness), Corry Evans (head).

    Pre-match words
    QPR manager Mark Warburton: "Blackburn are a good outfit – they have only lost twice at home all season – but we are a very good team ourselves. What we have to do is apply ourselves. There are 18 games to go and we know what we want to achieve - the ball is in our court. I have no doubt about the quality in our dressing room."

    Blackburn manager Thomas Frank: "QPR are a difficult team to read and they have some fabulous individuals in their ranks. They scored five and six against Swansea and Cardiff, they beat Leeds last time out in the league, but they were beat by Sheffield Wednesday the other day. Their results have been up and down, but it’s about us going and trying to impose ourselves in this game."

    We need to get 3 points here and a winning run going if we are going to get anything out of this season.

    That 1-0 where Shearer dived for a pen was my first away game.

    Warburton has unnecessarily put big pressure on himself after Friday’s shambles. The game screams 1-0 defeat. Good luck to anyone going to that ****hole on a Tuesday in January.

    Far more interested in seeing BOS start. I am worried that Burnley is using Wells as leverage to get BOS

    Never figured out what really happened there, we “bought” him for £12m, he played a few games for us, was ****e, then they promptly bought him back for the exact same money, still sounds odd, although it really really happened that way

    I've seen us win there, 3-1 in 1983 when we went on to win the then division 2 title. I did every match home and away that season, including friendlies.

    I think we had a right result with that outcome. But agree the whole thing was odd. As our most expensive signing, he could well be our worst.

    I keep thinking I might do that one season but nowadays the price would be astronomical. Trains are very expensive even booking months in advance.

    Yes, back in those days you had the football special trains and coaches that were run by the supporters club. For just a few quid you could get to a game for a reasonable cost and get your card stamped by Daphne Biggs. No moving of fixtures back then due to TV coverage. I don't know how fans manage it nowadays.

    We must have been in the same carriage at some point! Singing “we love you Daphne, we do”.
    We used to have a couple of proper nut jobs who would spend the whole journey walking up and down the length of the train singing Rangers songs!
