And as I mentioned before, given he was forced into liquidation before over a pub, a PUB, there is no way he has the resources to buy a football club like Bolton. The Watford deal was all smoke and mirrors until he was found out in less than a year. Shyster, end of.
I remember the letter from the bank confirming proof of funds for the Watford deal was found out to be a forgery.
Though he obviously is a shyster, the pub was rather more than a room with a bar in it, it was actually a pub/hotel and conference/wedding venue. please log in to view this image
BOLTON WANDERERS are in debt to the tune of a staggering £41.6million - and on the brink of administration. Owner Ken Anderson wants to take the admin option after London-based businessman Laurence Bassini ran into snags trying to complete the deal. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/8992131/bolton-administration/
David Conn @david_conn Bolton Wanderers: Laurence Bassini (bankrupt until 2015) says he has shown the EFL proof he has the £millions required to take over the club; EFL position is he hasn't provided the information they require. #bwfc
Would have been interesting if a promotion or play off spot or a relegation spot depended on the result!
Yes very interesting , the EFL might have had to make a difficult decision or actually do something about the situation
I looks like nobody is willing to fund the administration, which makes liquidation more likely, but as those owed money risk losing it without administration, one of them might blink first and decided it's safer to fund the admin.
Trustees of Eddie Davies c£23.5m, S James c£2.5m, K Anderson c£5m, plus many more inc HMRC c£2m, various staff c£2.3m. Total debt quoted as c£41.6m. If the trustees of Eddie Davies decide to not apply for administration, I suspect it's dead in the water.
Along with a number of Bolton fans who will see one less game than expected ( and paid for) this season!
