It's clear that from reports the club have been trying hard to offload him, needless to say because of his high wages, but why? well you may answer the obvious, but consider this. An injury sustained under club duty, the club pays for the player his basic salary for 18 months. For the remaining period before recovery, the club is obliged to pay only 50 % of the salary. Football Clubs have insurances that would pay compensation which involves player's salary for the rest of his contract in case of a career ending injury, and insurances cover that would pay player's salary for duration of injury and so on. So I'm not buying the heavy burden of the cost of Bony's wages, it should have been covered by Insurance cover by the club, if they did not do this at this professional level, then they deserve the full cost of his wage burden, and I have no sympathy whatsoever with the boardroom. Would the boardroom have cut corners on his Insurance cover from injury? Nothing would surprise me anymore with Jenkins and these Yanks.
Bloody hell thats ****ing basic. I took out insurance when I played just in case I got an injury and it prevented me from working. I know the payments would be drastically less, but that’s like driving your car with no insurance!!
Is there any news when he's hoping to be fit ? If he does get playing and looks OK, he'll be sold off in January anyway.
Bony seems to be constantly injured, so he has had so many no idea what this ones is. Appears you are spot on. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...ws/swansea-citys-wilfried-bony-shows-14486233
I'm Not a big fan of Bony but he is sitting pretty at the moment and i hope he is being looked after to try and get him fit asap....What i dont like is another Bodde saga that the club lets it drag on and on before admitting defeat and letting him go....
They didn't admit defeat , they had given him every opportunity to regain fitness , he chose to ignore the Clubs advice and as a footnote in his last game for us he was injured playing for the U23's down Stradey
