It's a fair point. Had we not scored that later winner, the mood on this thread would have been totally different, not just because it was only a draw, but because of the reality that the football was really dire. The scores in HDM were ridiculously high; a new positivity campaign to regain favour perhaps?! But .... who cares. 3 points.
p.s. LDS for doing a decent job filling in at LB. Not sure I can award a 2nd & 3rd. Some put in a real shift, but the quality was appalling.
I think we got what we deserved, it was certainly a game lacking in any real quality but, they never gave up - I thought the makeshift full backs, Pennington and DaSilva, epitomised the whole team. It was a battle, and whether Colin likes it or likes it not, without the penalty they were never scoring. I'm pleased for McCann and the team - another great escape season will do me.
TBH, I expected another defeat. So, I'm happy. I expected Middlesboro to be better than they were. I expected us to be able to occasionally string a few decent passes together. It was a relegation scrap, but one in the Championship. The standard of football was dreadful. But the result was great, and that's pretty much all that matters at this stage. I enjoyed the Manuchio moment.
