Usyk is looking a lot bulkier than last time. If he can still keep his workrate and movement, but hitting with bigger shots, then I think AJ is in real trouble. Also looking forward to Benn vs Eubank Jr. Hoping Benn wins.
I'd like AJ to win, but I'm going for Usyk late TKO. I just hope if AJ gasses, then for the sake of my bet Usyk doesn't just play it safe and jab his way to a UD. I'll probably stick a bet on Usyk UD and/or Usyk round 7-12.
Definitely worth a bet depending on the odds available. As much as I'd like AJ to win, I think Usyk will have too much for AJ if he can keep his speed and workrate going with the extra weight. Indications from those who have seen Usyk in training are that he looks fitter, sharper and stronger rhan ever. AJ will have to seriously change up his approach/style to have a chance in this one.
Hmm not great odds then. Our of interest, what odds for AJ to win by stoppage? Might be worth for an insurance bet.
Hmm, still not overly tempting. If the odds were better then I'd go Usyk TKO, with a side bet on AJ to win by KO in middle rounds. But I think I'll leave it.
Joshua is going to get stopped this time. He's just a big marketed body builder with no chin or head movement.
Yeah, I really cannot see past Usyk on this... He's a much better fighter, a much harder, tougher opponent. Too good for Joshua.
Good undercard for this fight too. Hrgovic vs Zhang is going to put one of these beats on the map. There's going to be a brutal KO here.
Fair play for him going straight back in there against Usyk but I don't really buy this cool calm image he portrays in interviews anymore. It feels so manufactured. As a result I find it quite hard to warm to him where as Fury for instance I think is great and can easily get behind him.
Joshua is boring in and outside the ring.... I found him and his mother's philosophies dull. I think he's a nice guy, but boxing is better when they're bad imo. Anthony Joshua is a marketed big lumbering oaf and uysk is better at everything including his work ethic.
Agree, aside from the work ethic, I think he does work hard (his physique speaks for itself). I just think he focuses on the wrong things. After an explosive start to his pro career, he seemed to get obsessed with bulking up, working on strength and looking 'ripped', when he really didn't need to. As a result, he is slower than he could be - and easy for the likes of Usyk to read. Heavyweights can afford a little bit of added weight. Ali wasn't ripped, neither is Fury and many others over the years who' had far better movement than AJ. If AJ had the right coaching earlier in his career, he would have worked more on his footwork and body movement, focusing on how to slip punches and work angles. But instead, his obsession with muscle has made him stiff and upright, like another Frank Bruno (who also ripped his body too much and had nothing in the tank in later rounds). I really liked AJ and he has had a great career, so deserves respect. But I just think he could have been amazing, with the right coaching and guidance. But the whole media circus around his fame seemed to make him focus more on his image than actual boxing ability. Would absolutely love it if he proves me wrong and shows that he has really worked on his speed and movement, but I can't see it happenning vs Usyk. Please prove me wrong AJ, I'll even eat one of Mick's hats.
