Same with Wilder. He has the misfortune of being in America who don't want someone who is nice and respectable, they want a caricature like Mayweather who is an absolute ****. Least we are a little bit more civilised here - for the most part at least.
Has to get past Fury first - for all that I despise about him as a person, he is a gifted boxer. Can see Fury just spending the whole fight leaning on Wilder, preventing him from hitting the big shots and winning on points - I really hope that doesn't happen though as it would be a really boring fight that would set back boxing's popularity.
Fury is comfortably the best boxer of the 3, but I don't think you can balloon to 40 stone or whatever it was and sniff gear every day for a year and get back to the athleticism required at the top level. Especially as Wilder and Joshua are both freaks athletically. My gut instinct is he has come back for one last pay day and it was just a question of who would give it him first, Wilder or Joshua. Fight whichever one, probably lose in pretty convincing fashion and take the money and run. The 2 comeback fights he had were both a complete joke so really hard to take anything from them in terms of where he is at
Those fights do show his strategy going forward and is an evolution of the tactics he used to beat Kalitchko - lean on the opponent, smothering him and preventing any offence. Is boring as **** to watch but is effective - will be interesting to see if it works against Wilder who is unorthodox but pure power.
Wtf is in your sig @BigFox I just see this big blue box saying 'we value your privacy' on it Some sigs are eyesores on here ffs
The 2 comeback fights? They tell us nothing, the first one the other guy did absolutely nothing and obviously had some bonus where if he made it to the 5th round he got more money as he threw the towel in then. He also was about half Furys size. The second fight the guy did slightly more but was still trash and Fury took ages to finish him (mainly because he was just walking round showboating as he wanted the rounds)
Is a gif of when we won the Premier League - have had it for the past couple of years. Is hosted on imgur - maybe you need to accept the t&cs or your adblock is blocking it or something? Either way it works fine for me.
Am not saying either of those fights were any good or against decent opposition but they showed his strategy - Wilder should beat him but then again Klitchko should have as well but didn't.
Random question that somebody might know the answer to. Why are PPVs so much more expensive in America than here? Just had a look at the Fury Wilder fight and I'd imagine it would be about £20 here, like most PPVs. In America it's $75, anyone know why?
Because they'll pay it. If they charged that much over here then everyone would tell them to **** off.
I especially like it when some yank or team claim to be world champion(s) in a sport only they play in.
